Running a facility in an OIZ means constantly dealing with the unknown.

  • Equipment Failures — Failures in critical equipment (transformers, compressors) usually cannot be detected until they happen.

  • Energy Costs — Which line or which piece of equipment is driving rising energy costs is not visible.

  • Backup Power Reliability — Whether generator and UPS systems will engage at the critical moment cannot be verified in advance.

  • Critical Area Risks — Temperature deviations in areas such as cold rooms and clean rooms can cause product loss without being noticed.

  • Infrastructure Dependency — Field cabling is expensive and creates a structure that depends on an operator.

Nu Teknoloji turns these question marks into data and visibility.

SOLUTIONS — SPECIFIC TO OIZs

A modular structure shaped to your facility's needs

Five solution groups you can start from a single pain point and extend step by step without needing a large initial investment.

Machine and Equipment Monitoring

In an OIZ you lose money when production stops — and the problem usually comes from an unexpected equipment failure. This module monitors production and the auxiliary systems that keep it running, together.

  • Machine tracking and predictive maintenance

Vibration, temperature and operating hours are collected continuously. When a deviation begins it warns long before the failure occurs; maintenance is planned against the real condition rather than a fixed calendar.

  • Equipment / auxiliary plant tracking

Phase imbalance, harmonic distortion and pressure fluctuation in panels, transformers and compressors are detected early — before production is affected.

  • Chiller and cooling optimisation

The energy spent is compared with the cooling effect produced (COP/EER tracking); an inefficient system is noticed before the bill rises.

  • Backup power system tracking

Generator and UPS fuel level, battery health and engagement test are monitored continuously — no surprises at the moment of an outage.

  • Tank / silo level tracking

Raw material and fuel levels are monitored live and an automatic alert is triggered at the critical threshold — the need for manual checks disappears.

Energy Management

In OIZs energy is one of the largest variable cost items and is usually seen as a “total bill” — how much each line and each shift consumes is unknown.

  • Electricity consumption tracking

Consumption is monitored at main panel, sub-panel, line and equipment level. Which line consumes how much on which shift — the saving decision comes from here.

  • Water, natural gas and compressed air tracking

Resource use in production, process and thermal systems is monitored separately. Abnormal consumption and possible leaks are detected early.

  • Power quality monitoring

Reactive power, harmonics and voltage fluctuations are monitored continuously; the need for compensation is seen before a penalty arrives.

  • Central analytics and alarm management

All resource data is gathered on one platform; with threshold and anomaly based alarms, cost and billing analysis is run from a single screen.

Production and Operations

The focus is production continuing without interruption and with quality — seeing the field without being in the field.

  • Production tracking / MES integration

Machine status, production count and downtime are transferred to the central system and integrated with the existing MES/SCADA through an API.

  • Cold room and clean room tracking

A temperature or humidity deviation means direct product loss. When a threshold is crossed an alarm arrives immediately — creating the chance to intervene before the product spoils.

  • Tracking of emergency equipment

Fire suppression systems and emergency stop buttons are verified as operational continuously, not at an annual inspection.

Environment and Facility Safety

An area that is critical both for worker health and for regulatory compliance.

  • Air quality monitoring

PM2.5, PM10, CO₂, VOC and NOx are measured in real time — you hold continuous data proving your compliance at any moment.

  • Early warning and alarm systems

A situation that creates risk notifies the system first; the field team steps in at the start of the event, not at its end.

Smart Street Furniture

A module that equips the street's physical hardware — poles, benches, luminaires, bins — with sensors, making scattered field assets visible on one platform.

  • Smart Energy Pole

Combines lighting, camera, environmental sensor and communication equipment in a single pole; installation cost and time fall.

  • Pole Solar

Every pole generates its own solar energy and runs independently of the grid; operating cost approaches zero.

  • Smart Bench

A bench equipped with solar charging, Wi-Fi and an environmental sensor; grid dependency is eliminated.

  • Smart Luminaire

Faults and energy consumption are monitored at the level of the individual luminaire; replacement is planned in advance.

  • Smart Waste Bin

Fill level is monitored live, and collection teams are dispatched at the right time without making unnecessary trips.

COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGIES

We choose the right technology for every scenario

Nu Teknoloji does not tie itself to a single communication method in IoT projects. We choose the most suitable communication technology according to the site's structure, coverage needs, data transmission frequency, energy consumption and operating goals. In OIZ projects we mainly use DECT NR+, but we bring in the other technologies as the scenario requires.

  • DECT NR+

    Non-Cellular 5G — Mesh

Ideal for mains-powered devices, a mesh network structure, high reliability.

Enterprise and critical communication, OIZ field monitoring
  • NB-IoT / LTE-M

    Cellular — Licensed

Runs on operator infrastructure, wide coverage, low power consumption.

HOW WE START

Digital transformation in three steps

  1. 01

    Discovery

We assess your facility's existing infrastructure.

  2. 02

    Pilot Deployment

We start with a low-risk pilot on a single line or a single equipment group.

  3. 03

    Scaling

With the results proven in the pilot, we extend across the facility thanks to the modular structure.
