Nu Teknoloji has taken a groundbreaking step to address connectivity dependency challenges in Internet of Things (IoT) projects. The company now delivers non-cellular 5G Non-Cellular (DECT NR+), 5G cellular IoT (NB-IoT), and 5G-NTN (satellite IoT) communication technologies—along with GNSS positioning support—through a single hardware platform. This move aims to reduce vulnerabilities within the IoT ecosystem by ensuring systems remain operational in areas without operator coverage or during disaster scenarios.


CRITICAL SOLUTIONS WITH FLEXIBLE CONNECTIVITY

Nu Teknoloji’s next-generation product roadmap offers flexible connectivity options for diverse geographical conditions and use cases—without requiring hardware replacement. Mesh architecture for dense urban deployments, cellular IoT for areas with strong operator coverage, and 5G-NTN satellite connectivity for remote locations lacking infrastructure can now all be delivered through a single hardware platform.

This approach promises high operational flexibility and long-term investment security in critical sectors such as construction, power plants, disaster management, smart city applications, logistics, and asset tracking.


INCREASED EFFICIENCY WITH A SINGLE-PROCESSOR ARCHITECTURE

With its new platform, Nu Teknoloji is transitioning from the dual-processor structure used in previous-generation products to a simplified single-processor architecture. This shift provides cost advantages in high-volume production, reduces system complexity, and enhances energy efficiency.

Additionally, the GNSS component—previously available at the hardware level but not actively utilized—has now been standardized, enabling broader adoption of location-based IoT applications. As a result, the platform evolves into an integrated solution that delivers not only connectivity but also embedded location intelligence.


A NETWORK-INDEPENDENT IoT ARCHITECTURE

Ayşe Nur Koroğlu Alkaya, Co-Founder responsible for Business Development at Nu Teknoloji, emphasized that while infrastructures or operators may change, systems must continue to operate without interruption.
